Guide and worked example

Package files into a ZIP for sharing. Review what you intend to share first; this tool neither uploads nor encrypts files.

  1. Select files and inspect the list: up to 100 files totaling 50 MiB.
  2. Rename duplicate or cross-platform-incompatible names locally, then reselect.
  3. Create and download the ZIP, then extract it and check count and content.

Worked example

Select a.txt and b.txt to create files.zip. Extraction should produce both original names and unchanged contents. Selecting a.txt and A.txt together is rejected to prevent overwriting on case-insensitive systems.

Limitations and checks

Files only: directories, permissions and original modification times are not preserved. No extraction or passwords. ZIP output may exceed input size, especially for compressed images and videos.

Does ZIP protect confidentiality?

No. These ZIP archives are unencrypted and readable by anyone who receives them.
